Day 1 - Historical Cape Town city tour, Table Mountain & West Coast - full day private guided

We explore Cape Town & visit Cape Town’s historical places, like the Dutch East Indian Garden, Castle of Good Hope, South African Museum, Malay quarter, District 6 & Greenmarket square.
Thereafter we ascend Table Mountain via cable car (optional, weather dependent), views over the city, Table Bay and Robben Island are stupendous. Table Mountain is a New Seven Wonder of the world & UNESCO heritage site.
Later in the afternoon we drive up the West Coast where the views of Table Mountain (post card), Robben Island and Table Bay are stupendous.
Time for an aperitif whilst watching the sunset over the Atlantic ocean.

Day 2 - Cape of Good Hope, Seal Island boat cruise, Chapmans Peak and Groot Constantia - full day private guided

This Region is a World Heritage site for its exceptional floral diversity. We follow the west coast via Clifton with a stop at Maiden’s Cove to enjoy a magnificent view of the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay then to Hout Bay, a charming town where we enjoy a cruise to Duiker Island, home to the world’s largest fur seal colony.

The scenic Chapman’s Peak Pass offers breathtaking scenery. The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is where the cold Atlantic waters meet the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Journeying down to the False Bay coast, lunch is at the old harbor of the historical naval port of Simon’s Town.

We finish our day with a visit to Groot Constantia, South Africa’s oldest Cape Dutch manor house and wine farm built by the first Governor of the Cape.

Day 3 - Cape Winelands & Whale Coast - private guided tour

Your private guide will drive you to Stellenbosch, a fertile area of vines that replaced the wildlife and nomadic Khoisan people who had lived here for millennia. Today, Stellenbosch is known for its beautiful architecture, renowned wines and famous university. On a wine farm, surrounded by mountains, taste the wonderful vintages, including Pinotage (which is S.A’s own unique cultivar).

We leave Cape Town & head for the spectacular Clarence Drive on our way to Betty’s Bay where we visit Africa’s largest penguin colony. Next is the charming town of Hermanus, known for the world’s best land-based whale watching between the months of June & December. We return to Cape Town via the vast Helderberg mountain range which separates Cape Town from the South African interior.

Whilst in Cape Town, all optional activities will be offered to you at our preferential rates, discounted from 15%. They include helicopter flips, hot-air ballooning, shark-cage diving, whale cruises, paragliding & more.

Day 4 - Transfer from Johannesburg to Kruger National Park - afternoon/sunset - private safari - Cape Winelands & Whale Coast - private guided tour

Fly directly into either Skukuza Kruger National Park, or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Your safari guide will collect you at no additional cost.
We travel directly to our lodge in Hazyview and arrive between 11:30 am – 12:00 pm. You have time to relax and enjoy a light lunch, thereafter, enjoy a swim or walk around the beautiful lodge and walking trail. We depart the lodge around 14:45 for an afternoon/sunset safari in the Kruger National Park.

The sun sets early in the winter months, which means you will have a longer night safari. In summer, we’ll enjoy beautiful sunsets while on safari, before returning to the lodge around 19:30 for dinner prepared by one of the best chef’s in the region. A good night’s rest, for your full-day safari in the Kruger National Park.

Day 5 Full-day open vehicle safari in the Kruger National Park - private safari

All safaris start before sunrise. This is the best part of the day, not knowing what to expect. After a short drive, we enter the park gates. Your guide will have an idea of the best areas to find the wildlife, including the Big 5 and plains game. This is the finest time of the day to see predators.

The lodge will arrange breakfast packs and your guide will stop after about 3 hours for a breakfast and bathroom break and a chance to get a coffee. We then continue with your safari. Kruger offers a variety of ecozones, each one with a different range of wildlife. We visit rivers and watering holes as well as plains and bushveld regions.

We stop for lunch at a rest camp, where this meal will be for your own account. You have time to do some curio shopping or enjoy a cold beer! The guide will then continue with the safari, heading towards the lodge. We arrive around 3.30 – 4 pm, with time to relax, swim and have a great dinner.

Day 6 - Full-day Blyde River Canyon & Panorama Route

Visit God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon (the world’s 3rd largest canyon), Lisbon Waterfall, the 3 Rondawels and the town of Graskop.
God’s Window allows people a window from the escarpment and a 1 300 m drop below. One can see as far as the Kruger and beyond on a clear day. There is a fantastic short walk through a natural rainforest environment. Bourkes’ Luck Potholes is a stunning natural formation created by water erosion over hundreds of years.

The potholes have round carvings and holes of different sizes formed in the Truer River and Blyde River confluence in the red sandstone. Your guides will brief you on the history of the region. You can use small footbridges and walk over the chasms, looking at the water flowing through the cracks and holes. There are also several small but beautiful waterfalls in the area. We spend about 1 hour here and it’s a great walk of about 1 km in total.
Back at the lodge, freshen up and enjoy a delicious dinner.
